Ireland Itinerary
Currently in flux-to be updated as course activities are confirmed.
Students should buy airline tickets to the Shannon Airport arriving by or before noon on July 19th and departing Ireland in the mid to late afternoon on August 2nd.
Once we know all airline tickets have been purchased we will book Burren College transportation to meet us, as a group, at the Shannon Airport just after 12pm on July 19th.
Saturday, July 19th
all students will meet at the ARRIVALS Hall of the Shannon Airport by noon and will be transported to the Burren College housing in Ballyvaughan.

Students arriving independently should arrange transportation. A taxi from Shannon will cost approximately 80 Euro and can be booked by emailing obcabs@eircom.net.

7am bus to NewGrange 167 mi-3-4 hour drive.
Tour NewGrange/Knowth (3 hours).
Late afternoon drive 45 minutes to Dublin and check into the Avalon House-http://www.avalon-house.ie near the Temple Bar Cultural Quarters.
Wednesday, July 23rd
10am visit to select Galleries in the Temple Bar Area.
1pm lunch.
2:30 pm group transportation to the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
5:30 pm bus back to the Burren College.

Group visits to select galleries and performances will be scheduled and you will also have free time to explore on your own. Look at the schedule of events to see if anything is of particular interest. In the evening there are many concerts and performances offered that you may be interested in.
We will be staying the night at the Sleepzone, Galway.
